The Parker Classic in Laque Tourmaline was introduced in 1986 and discontinued in 1988, a relatively short production run. This pen carries a date code for the third quarter of 1986.
Tourmaline is a gemstone that occurs in a variety of colours, the most striking being the vibrant pink, as used in this deep lacquered Classic.
The pen is in excellent condition, the bright pink and deep Gold fill combine to make it an outrageously attractive pen.
The pen has been fully serviced and tested. It is fitted with the original metal Parker ink converter which fills well and the large, triangular nib writes with a smooth and consistent medium line.
The box is new, as the pen is unmarked I thought it should have some protection. It is a high quality box that will also serve well for transportation and display.
Due to the short production run and, perhaps, the limited market at the time for bright pink and gold pens the Classic Laque Tourmaline is now extremely hard to find. It is a high quality pen which, particularly in such good condition, is now very collectable.
