The Parker Duofold Demi Platinum made it's debut in 2006, this pen is one of the first of the line as it carries a date code for the first quarter of that year.
At 11.7 cm. capped the pen grows to an impressive 15cm. when posted for use, in this respect it is more similar to the 'pocket pens' than conventional small models. The Demi was not designated as a small International or Centennial by Parker, it was a model in it's own right. In terms of proportions, it bears more resemblance to a small Centennial than an International.
The 'Ace of Spades' version of the Duofold features an intricate 'ace' motif on the cap decal with the same symbol on the nib, produced by masking the 18Ct. gold with platinum, which is also used on the trim of the pen.
The pen is in immaculate condition, shows no signs of use and is presented in the high quality 'clamshell' case. It is cartridge filler, a new box of 6 cartridges is included so the pen is ready to write.
The Parker Duofold Demi Platinum had a relatively short production run and is much less common than the full sized pens in the series. It is likely to become very collectable but as a compact cartridge filler for every day use it would take some beating. The quality is superb.
