Parker 'Ladies' come in a variety of shapes and sizes, this one is the original 'Lady Duofold' introduced in 1958. It has a screw on cap and an 'art deco' cap band. The more common Parker Lady is the 'Parker 17 Lady' introduced in U.S.A. in 1961, and closely followed by the Lady Standard, neither of which had a screw cap.
The pen has been fully serviced and tested and is in excellent condition. The Blue surface is bright and vibrant, the Gold filling to the clip and decorated cap band is pristine and the imprint is clear.
The modified Aerometric filling system works well, it has been fitted with a replacement sac at sometime, or has been used with red ink, either way it's the correct sac and is in good condition. The 14 Ct. Gold, number 4 nib writes with a smooth, firm, medium line with a pleasing soft feel. Although it is a small pen, it is perfectly comfortable, when posted, for the average user.
The shape and proportions of the pen are reminiscent of a Parker 51, albeit much smaller, it is very much a member of the Duofold family. The Lady Duofold would make a first class every day vintage writer.
