Parker Lady Duofold Set in Red.

Regular price £65.00

Parker 'Ladies' come in a variety of shapes and sizes, this one is the original 'Parker Lady Duofold', made in England and introduced in 1958.  It has a screw on cap and an 'art deco' cap band.  The more common Parker Lady is the 'Parker 17 Lady' introduced in U.S.A. in 1961, and closely followed by the Lady Standard, neither of which had a screw cap.

The set, comprising a fountain pen and propelling pencil, has been fully serviced and tested and is in excellent condition.  The red surface has only light user marks and is bright and vibrant, the Gold filling to the clip and decorated cap band has held up very well.

The 14 Ct. Gold, number 4 nib writes with a smooth, firm, fine line with a pleasing soft feel.   Although it is a small pen, it is perfectly comfortable, when posted, for the average user.

The pencil has a rotary mechanism, it is activared by turning the cap to extend and retract the lead.

The shape and proportions of the pen are reminiscent of a Parker 51, albeit much smaller, it is very much a member of the U.K. Duofold family, a delightful little pen.  The Lady Duofold would make a first class every day vintage writer.
