Parker Sonnet 1 in Deep Blue Laque. Boxed and Immaculate.

Regular price £75.00

The Parker Sonnet was introduced in 1994 as a replacement for the high end range of Parker pens which was now seen as becoming dated, specifically the Parker 75.  The Deep Blue Laque was iadded in 1998, this pen carries a date code for the first quarter of 1999.

The Laque finish is produced by applying multiple coats of lacquer to obtain a hard, high gloss and hard wearing surface, in this case a striking mottled Blue with a striped motif.  The pen also features a 'Dimonite' trim, this is a coating of 50% Gold and 50% Titanium.

The pen came to me as unused, although I have inked it once for testing purposes. Made in France, the pen is immaculate in all respects, and is supplied in the original Parker presentation case.

A cartridge/converter filler, the pen is fitted with the Parker screw converter and is supplied with an unused ink cartridge so it is ready to write in either configuration.  It produces a really smooth medium line and is a pleasure to use.

The Parker Sonnet was very successful and is still made today but these early Mk. I 'Laque' pens are, by far, amongst the most collectable.
