The Parker Sonnet was introduced in 1994 as a replacement for the Parker 75. Made in france, this pen carries a date code for the second quarter of 2001.
The Laque Green finish is produced by applying multiple coats of lacquer to obtain a hard, high gloss and hard wearing surface, in this case a striking combination of green shades producing a stripesd, 'wood-like' pattern. The pen also features a 'Dimonite' trim, this is a coating of 50% Gold and 50% Titanium.
The pen is in outstanding condition with no discernable marks, it has a deep shine and bright gold trim and could well be unused.
A cartridge/converter filler, the pen will be provided with a new ink cartridge so it is ready to write.
The Parker Sonnet was very successful and is still made today but these early 'Laque' pens are, by far, amongst the most collectable.
