The Parker Victory Mk.V. made it's debut in 1953 as Parker introduced the 'aerometric' filling system to all the U.K. Duofolds, made in the Parker Newhaven factory. The pen was available in four solid colours: Black, Blue, Green, and Red, all with rolled Gold trim and a 14Ct. Gold nib.
Finished in Black, and with a posted length of 15.8 cm, it is a very long, well balanced and handsome pen with a solid and well made feel. It has a very good surface and bright Gold filling. The cap, which has a black end stud, is a smooth screw fit, tightening with one and a half turns.
The pen has been fully serviced and tested, the filling system works well and the correct 14Ct. Gold number 10 nib writes with a smooth, fine line. It is well suited to someone with smaller handwriting or for more detailed work.
The Victory Mk. V represents very good value as a nintage pen, modern Gold nibbed pens start at over twice this price and lack the charm, quality, and pedigree. It would make an eye-catching and reliable every day vintage writer.
