Sheaffer Silver Imperial. c.1973. Medium/Fine Nib. Sterling Silver.

Regular price £175.00

The cartridge/converter version of the Sheaffer Silver Imperial was made for a relatively short period in the early 1970s and was the top of the range Sheaffer pen at the time.

Constructed in solid Sterling Silver with a deep cut diamond pattern and gold plated clip, it is a luxury pen of the highest quality. This is a fine example, it has been fully serviced, is in excellent working order, and is visually very attractive.  It is a good sized, solid pen with the distinctive 'warm' feel of solid silver.

The pen is a cartridge/converter filler, the original ink converter is in place and a new cartridge is included so the pen is ready to write in either configuration.

The 14 Ct. Gold 'inlaid diamond' nib writes with a super smooth line, perhaps a little on the fine side of medium, a very 'easy' writer.

As a top of the range pen, the Silver Imperial was very expensive when new and therefore sold in comparitively small numbers so is one of the least common of the Imperial line and is much sought after. It is a top quality and very collecable pen.
