The Sheaffer Targa 1001 XG was an upgrade of the 1001 model, featuring a solid 14Ct. Gold nib and a 23Ct. Gold plated clip. it was made from 1976 t0 1988 but the branding on the instruction leaflet on this pen dates it to a year or so either side of 1977.
The pen has been serviced, tested, and is in excellent working condition. The ''inlaid diamond 14Ct. Gold nib writes with a super smooth line, perhaps a little on the fine side of medium.
The pen is a full sizes version, a slimline pen was also made. It presented in the original box with the instruction leaflet, along with a new ink cartridge so the pen is ready to write.
