Summit S175 in Green

Regular price

The Summit S175 was introduced in 1945, as the Curzon co., based in Liverpool, was renamed 'Summit'.  At 15.8 cm, 6.2 inches, in length when posted it is a large and impressive classic English lever filling fountain pen.

This example is finished in a deep Green with Gold filled trim.  It has a very good surface with a strong barrel imprint and, unusually for a Summit, the Gold filling has held up very well.

The pen has been fully restored and tested.  The filling system works well and the 14 Ct. Gold, original Summit nib, writes with a smooth, 'soft' medium line with a suggestion of flex.  It is a very comfortable and 'easy' writer.

The Summit S175 is not a common pen by any means, S175s in this condition are quite collectable and not easy to find.  The pen would make an excellent, reliable and stylish vintage daily writer.
