The Waterman CF was introduced in the 1950s and continued into the 1970s, this 18Ct. Gold filled ballpoint pen probably dates from the early 1970s.
Made in France, the pen carries a 'Plaque Or G' hallmark indicating the gold quality, on the cap and the barrel. The finely engraved parallel line pattern was also known as 'milleraies', translating roughly as 'needle chord'.
An outrageously attractive and elegant pen, it is in very good condition, the cap twists to extend the point which writes with a fine blue line.
