The Waterman W3 is an attractive and very reliable 'art deco' design pen. Finished in black with Gold filled trim, this pen is a very fine example.
Although there is a little tarnishing on the clip the pen is in excellent condition with a lustrous shine and a strong barrel imprint.
The pen has been fully restored and tested. It fills well and the 14Ct. Gold Ideal broad nib is a great writer. The Ideal is a superior nib to the standard, this one has a full flex. It would suit someone with a bold hand.
The W3 is a reliable and durable pen, it was much favoured by companies employing large numbers of office workers at a time when a fountain pen was an essential tool in the workplace, although the Ideal nib suggests that this pen was privately owned and well cared for.
