This Waterman's Ideal pencil, finished in an attractive marbled pearl in a 'block' arrangement with irregular longitudinal red streaks, probably dates from the 1930s.
At 12.7 cm. in length, it is a full sized pencil with a tactile, high quality feel. The finish is first class, as is the Gold filling to the clip which bears the Waterman's name and 'Ideal Globe' logo.
The pencil is in mint condition and appears to have seen no use. The cap can be removed to reveal an unused eraser and new leads stored inside the barrel.
The pencil has a smooth rotary action, it operates by turning the cap to extend and retract the lead. New leads can easily be fitted through the nozzle when required.
It is an extremely eye catching and top quality vintage pencil with a faultless pedigree.
