Waterman's Nurses Pen/Pencil Set

Regular price £225.00

The Waterman's Nurses pen, made in Canada, first appeared in the 1941 catalogue and was made up until around 1950.

This set, comprising a lever filling fountain pen and matching propelling pencil, has been fully serviced and tested and is in outstanding condition throughout.  The translucent pearlised, 'swirled' finish is most unusual and strikingly attractive.

The pen features a box lever system and short 'military clips', the clip was designed to fit in a pocket and allow the flap to be closed.  A nurses uniform often had a flap over the pocket, particularly if it was worn during wartime.

At 15 cm. in length when posted for use the fountain pen is full sized, it delivers a smooth fine to medium line with a small, but pleasing, amount of flex.  The pencil has a rotary action, operated by turning the cone to extend and retract the lead.

The box is in sound condition, separate operating instructions for the pen and pencil are included.

The Waterman's Nurses set is a highly collectable and outrageously attractive vintage item.
